David Andrew Wiebe began songwriting in 1997 at the tender age of 14. In the summer of 1999, David & his friend, Nick MacKrory, performed a favorite song of theirs at youth camp. It was then that David experienced the thrill of performance and decided to pursue a career in music. In early 2000, David began his journey as a guitarist under the tutelage of Jason Johnson. In 2 short years, David’s guitar skills grew by leaps and bounds, leading him to form various bands in the years to come. The most long-lived was formed in 2003: Lightly Toasted Touché with members David (guitarist), Adam Burwash (drummer) and Mike Hooper (bassist). By 2005, David had decided to explore songwriting on his own and went on to play in various venues such as The House Coffee & Sanctuary and Thistles Urban Deli & Lounge (both in Calgary, Alberta), frequently alongside fellow singer/songwriter, Christopher Connelly. David also has extensive involvement as a guitarist at his home church, Glamorgan Church of God (also in Calgary). His solo album, "Shipwrecked... My Sentiments" (2006), was a success amongst family, friends and peers alike and David continues on his quest of music.
